Referring to the fact that the "government" authorities are going all the more reckless in their extreme hostile actions against compatriots, the appeal said that the noisy "north wind" campaign again kicked off by them in the run-up to the "presidential" election is the last-ditch efforts of the conservative forces to tide over their crisis.

"A witch-hunt campaign against the forces following the north" is going on in south Korea and there is a whirlwind for "verifying ideology" which can be seen only on the eve of a war and the movement of the progressives for independence and peaceful reunification is being wrongly accused, the appeal deplored, and continued:

It called on the progressives to frustrate the authorities' suppression of them under the pretext of security and punish the present "government" through united actions.

It also appealed to the progressive forces to take the lead in the struggle against Lee Myung Bak, Park Geun Hye and the "Saenuri Party".
