Earthquake Damage Expands in China

Beijing, June 27 (KCNA) -- The damage done by the earthquake that struck the border between Sichuan and Yunnan provinces is expanding.

As of June 25, the quake left four people dead and 152 others wounded.

It destroyed houses for more than 3 800 families. It forced more than 22,000 people to make an emergency evacuation.

The number of victims totals 71 000.

Relief measures are now being taken on the spot.
