Present there were officials of the France-Korea Friendship Association and its Northern Regional Committee and other people. Present there on invitation were officials of the DPRK mission.

The chairman of the Northern Regional Committee of the association said in his speech:

The July 4 joint statement is the most realistic and fair proposal for Korea's reunification as it reflects the unanimous wish and desire of the Korean people.

The joint statement evoked lively response not only from the Korean people but the world people.

The June 15 North-South Joint Declaration and the October 4 declaration which were provided by leader Kim Jong Il are a landmark for achieving the country's reunification by the Korean nation itself.

Kim Jong Un, supreme leader of the Korean people, is wisely leading the Korean people in their struggle to successfully carry out the plan of Kim Jong Il for national reunification.

The DPRK is adhering to the peace-loving stand and making sincere efforts for reunification but the situation on the Korean Peninsula is aggravating to the extremes due to the adventurous war moves of the U.S. and the south Korean authorities.

We are strongly denouncing the U.S. and the south Korean authorities for their moves for igniting a war and will further intensify the solidarity movement for supporting the Korean people's struggle for peace, stability and reunification on the Korean Peninsula.
