Rashed Khan Menon, chairman of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Bangladesh, said:

We are deeply recollecting the undying feats Kim Il Sung, the great leader of the Korean people and the world progressive people, performed in achieving the human cause of independence on the occasion of the 18th anniversary of his demise. He was a distinguished thinker and theoretician who founded the immortal Juche idea and clearly indicated the way of the era and revolution. He was a legendary hero who hewed out the Korean revolution with arms and saved the destiny of the country and the nation and an invincible and iron-willed commander who opened up a new era of the anti-imperialist struggle.

Garib Newaz, president of the Bangladesh People's League, noted:

Kim Il Sung devoted his all to the people till the last moment of his life since he embarked upon the road of revolution in his early years. He is immortal in the hearts of the Korean people and the world progressive people. This would be unthinkable without his great feats and noble traits. The feats he performed for the Korean revolution and global independence will shine long.
