A farewell meeting for him was held before the Three Charters for National Reunification Memorial Tower on Thursday.

Choe Jin Su, chairman of the North Headquarters of Pomminryon, said the North Headquarters would positively support the just struggle of the people from all walks of life in the south in the future, too and go hand in hand with the South Headquarters of Pomminryon along the road of implementing the north-south joint declaration.

Vice-Chairman of the South Headquarters Ro Su Hui said it is the due courtesy and obligation as a member of the Korean nation to mourn the demise of Kim Jong Il in the humblest manner, adding during his sojourn in Pyongyang he grasped the truth why the people in the north call great men who believed in people as in Heaven fatherly leaders.

He expressed his fixed will to glorify his life as a pro-reunification champion remembered by the nation who contributes to fully demonstrating the spirit of Pomminryon despite the ever-more violent fascist racket against reunification.

A woman worker presented a bouquet to him.

As songs "Korea Is One" and "We Are One" blared, he with Korean Peninsula flag in his hand left for Panmunjom, receiving warm farewell of the citizens in Pyongyang.
