Pyongyang, July 6 (KCNA) -- The British Association for the Study of Songun Policy and the British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea on June 27 issued a joint statement denouncing the U.S. and the south Korean "government" authorities for hurting the dignity of the DPRK. The U.S. imperialists together with the south Korean puppet group staged the largest-ever joint live firing drill on June 22 and committed such reckless act as firing at the DPRK flag, the statement said. Firing at the flag of an independent state amounts to a war action and a provocation violating international norms, it noted. "Peace" and "dialogue" touted by the U.S. imperialists are nothing but a gimmick to stifle the socialist system of the DPRK, it stated. Firing at the DPRK's flag showed the whole world that the U.S. imperialists are going to ignite the second Korean War to invade the DPRK, it noted, and continued: The U.S. imperialists are working hard to ignite a new war to bring down socialism of Juche and occupy the whole of Korea. We demand the U.S. discontinue all its war exercises and apologize for such grave crime as hurting the dignity of the DPRK, it stressed. The Peruvian-Korean Institute of Culture and Friendship in an article posted on its Internet website on June 29 condemned the U.S. imperialist aggression forces present in south Korea and the Lee Myung Bak group of traitors for staging the largest-ever joint live firing drill, targeting against the DPRK's flag. |
