S. Korean Authorities Hit for Abusing Rights of Pro-Reunification Figure

Pyongyang, July 6 (KCNA) -- Ro Su Hui, vice-chairman of the South Headquarters of the Pan-national Alliance for Korea's Reunification (Pomminryon), went back to south Korea via Panmunjom on Thursday. Ro visited Pyongyang to take part in commemorations of the 100th day since the demise of leader Kim Jong Il. No sooner had Ro crossed the demarcation line that afternoon than agents of south Korea pounced upon him like beasts and arrested him. This unethical action of the south Korean group of traitors lashed people from all walks of life in the DPRK into towering resentment at it. Kim Jin Ho, 30, an official of the Ministry of Light Industry, said: Watching TV showing the arrest, I could not repress resentment at the group of traitors. How cruel it was. As soon as Ro crossed the demarcation line, the agents snatched the bunch of flowers presented to him by compatriots from the north and threw it away and trampled underfoot the Korean Peninsula flag. When he shouted "Long live national reunification by concerted efforts of Koreans!" they choked his neck and stooped to any infamy which made even brutes blush. We can never pardon these devils. The above-said barbarism committed by the gangsters against Ro in the eyes of fellow countrymen is an undisguised insult to the Korean nation desirous of reunification. Not only I but all other people in the north are grinding their teeth with rage. The arrest of Ro once again proved that they are traitors and barbarians without equals. Kim Yong Chol, 39, a teacher at Kim Hyong Jik University of Education, said that Ro's Pyongyang visit was an expression of due etiquette to share sorrow as a fellow countryman. He continued: It was a very righteous action in the light of the traditional beautiful manners and customs of the Korean nation and the spirit of reconciliation and unity. The group of traitors' action to disallow people from all walks of life in south Korea to express condolences over the great loss to the nation compelled Ro to cross over the deadline alone. For Ro to have expressed condolences reflecting the feelings of south Korean people can never be incriminated. The south Korean authorities should stop at once the inhuman suppression of Ro Su Hui, a pro-reunification champion. They should not block the nation's righteous march for reunification. |
