Anniversary of Demise of Kim Il Sung Commemorated
Pyongyang, July 8 (KCNA) -- The 18th anniversary of the demise of President Kim Il Sung (July 8) has been commemorated in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.

On the anniversary, the dear respected Kim Jong Un, together with commanding officers of the Korean People's Army, visited the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun at 00:00, the greatest memorial day of the nation, to pay tribute to the President.

The palace was also visited by Kim Yong Nam, Choe Yong Rim and other senior party and state officials, the chairperson of a friendly party and officials of party, armed forces and power organs, working people's organizations, ministries and national institutions.

People of different social strata went to statues of Kim Il Sung across the country to pay homage to him, recollecting his admirable career and the benevolence shown by him for them.

In Pyongyang, a large number of people, including servicepersons and schoolchildren, visited the statues of the President and General Secretary Kim Jong Il on Mansu Hill, with floral baskets, bouquets and flowers.

Seen there was a basket of flowers from Kim Jong Un.

Many citizens have also visited statues of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il at the Mansudae Art Studio.

Of late major newspapers of the country, including Rodong Sinmun, have dedicated much space to articles praising the undying feats of the President, who successfully led the revolution and construction in the DPRK, fully displaying its dignity and honor.
