Minju Joson Slams U.S. Anti-Ballistic Missile Test

Pyongyang, July 9 (KCNA) -- The U.S. is trying to convince the public that its test of anti-ballistic missile in Hawaii on June 26 was aimed at coping with missile "threats" from the DPRK and Iran. This is intended to justify its moves to beef up armed forces and modernize military hardware. Minju Joson Monday says in a by-lined commentary in this regard: It is the U.S. intentions to realize its military attempt to stifle independent countries against imperialism like the DPRK at any cost by crippling their military capacity for self-defence and holding an unchallenged edge in the field of military hardware. It is also contemplating dragging countries strong in anti-imperialist and independent stand, strategic competitors and potential rivals into an arms race in an effort to curb their socio-economic development. This clearly proves that the U.S. is, indeed, a warmonger and confrontational maniac threatening the global peace and security and reaction of history deterring mankind from making independent development. The U.S. has resorted to its criminal moves to certainly stifle those countries holding aloft the banner of independence against imperialism and worked hard to cover up its black-minded nature, a ridiculous and reckless act. It is nothing but a pipedream for the U.S. to try to pull up the DPRK with its confrontational policy of strength. The more the U.S. intensifies its hostile policy toward the DPRK, the further the DPRK will bolster its war deterrent for self-defence. The U.S. should immediately give up its anachronistic moves to stifle the DPRK, facing up to the DPRK's enmity against the U.S. |
