The press release read out at the conference recalled that shortly ago, Japan issued a report which called for allowing its "Self-Defence Forces" to exercise the "right to collective self-defence".

This suggests that Japan's moves to revive militarism have reached a full-scale phase as part of the scenario of its ultra-right forces to turn it into a military giant, it said, adding:

Lurking behind those moves of Japan is the U.S. attempt for aggression to maintain and boost its unchallenged military position in Asia.

The press release slammed the shameless attitude of Japan dreaming of the revival of militarism, far from repenting of its colonial rule under which it imposed unbearable pain and sufferings upon the Korean nation and the historic errors it committed as a war criminal state.

It demanded Japan immediately roll back its confrontational military policy including the SDF's exercise of the "right to collective self-defence" which escalates military tension and conflict on the Korean Peninsula and in the rest of Northeast Asia.
