Kurbonzyon Mirzoyeva, member of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Tajikistan, said it is 18 years since the President demised, adding:

The President enunciated the idea of global independence including the establishment of fair international relations based on independence and conducted energetic activities for its materialization.

He sincerely helped people of various countries in their national liberation struggle and worked heart and soul for the development of the non-aligned movement.

The august name of the President and the undying exploits performed by him for global independence will always be remembered by humankind.

Oskar Molleby, chief of the Swedish Group for the Study of the Juche Idea, recalled that the President led the Korean revolution for a long period, building a socialist power independent in politics, self-supporting in the economy and self-reliant in national defence.

The director of the Indonesian company noted that the President was a great man who built a socialist country in Korea and made untiring efforts for the reunification of the country.
