Anniversary of Kim Il Sung's Demise Commemorated in Nigeria
Pyongyang, July 10 (KCNA) -- Nigerian figures visited the DPRK embassy in their country on June 29 and July 4 to commemorate the 18th anniversary of the demise of President Kim Il Sung.

They placed bunches of flowers before a full-length painting showing the President and General Secretary Kim Jong Il standing together, before paying tribute to them.

Among them were Ibrahim Mantu, chairman of the Nigerian National Committee for Remembering President Kim Il Sung, member of the Credit Committee of the People's Democratic Party of Nigeria and chairman of the Nigeria-Korea Friendship Association, Alhassan Mamman Muhammad, chairman of the Nigerian National Committee for the Study of the Juche Idea, and other people.

Ibrahim Mantu noted that it is the obligation and duty of his organization to pay tribute to the President on the occasion.

The President instilled confidence in victory and courage into the world oppressed people, he said, adding:

We will widely introduce the greatness of the President and the DPRK among Nigerians and thus positively contribute to the development of the friendly relations between the two countries.

Alhassan Mamman Muhammad said that the President was a genuine father of the people as he ushered in the new era, an era of independence when the popular masses emerged masters of their destinies and makers of history, and provided a unique socialist system centered on the popular masses in the DPRK.

The Korean people will surely accomplish the revolutionary cause of Juche as they are under the leadership of the dear respected Kim Jong Un who is identical to the President and Kim Jong Il, he added.
