Rodong Sinmun Accuses Japan's Intention to Sign GSOMIA

Pyongyang, July 11 (KCNA) -- The Japanese reactionaries were disclosed to have made an earnest attempt to sign the General Security of Military Information Agreement (GSOMIA) with south Korea, sparking off public furor. Under the agreement, Japan is to get military information about the DPRK from south Korea with ease and offer its third-rate data to south Korea. Rodong Sinmun Wednesday says in a bylined commentary in this regard: Through the agreement the Japanese militarists seek to pave the way for reinvasion of Korea and lay a foundation for putting the whole Korean Peninsula under their control by using the south Korean puppet forces as a guide. The ultimate aim sought by the Japanese reactionaries is to stage a comeback to Asia and further dominate the world. The first target of their attack is the DPRK. Japan is working hard to expand the operational sphere of Aegis equipped with interceptor missiles even to the east and west seas of Korea. It is contemplating staging a comeback to Korea on the basis of acquiring military information. The Japanese reactionaries are making desperate efforts to lay a springboard for launching military reinvasion of Korea at any cost together with the Lee Myung Bak group of traitors steeped in hostility toward the DPRK to the marrow of its bones. This renders the situation on the Korean Peninsula extremely tense. Military aggression is not a way out for Japan. It will invite self-destruction. The Japanese reactionaries had better behave themselves with reason, not pushing the situation to the worst phase. |
