Military Agreement with Japan Opposed in S. Korea
Pyongyang, July 11 (KCNA) -- Civic and social organizations in south Korea held a rally in Seoul on July 7 in protest against the attempted conclusion of a military agreement with Japan.

They included the Solidarity for Progress, the Confederation of Trade Unions and the People for Achieving Peace and Reunification.

Speakers at the rally said that military guidelines are expected to be released in the wake of the conclusion of the General Security of Military Information Agreement and the Agreement on Mutual Logistic Support.

This will be, in fact, a declaration of the emergence of south Korea-Japanese paramilitary alliance, they said, adding it will also help upgrade the status of the "Self-Defence Forces" to that of an army and draw Japan into solving the issue of the Korean Peninsula.

They urged Lee Myung Bak, little different from Ri Wan Yong, one of the five traitors of 1905, to immediately step down.

They also called on Park Geun Hye and the "Saenuri Party" to take responsibility for the present situation.

A resolution was read out at the end of the rally representing a will to fight it out to get the military agreement withdrawn.
