Heavy Rain Hits Some Areas of DPRK

| Pyongyang, July 11 (KCNA) -- Heavy rains, interwoven with strong wind, hit some east and west coastal areas of the DPRK from Tuesday afternoon to Wednesday dawn, affected by low pressure crossing the central area of Korea. 122 mm rainfall was registered in Sinuiju City, North Phyongan Province, 104 mm in Jangyon County, South Hwanghae Province and 100 mm in Kowon County, South Hamgyong Province. On Wednesday 61 mm downpour fell in Sinuiju City from 00:00 to 03:00 and 74 mm in Kowon County, South Hamgyong Province, and 59 mm in Chonnae County, Kangwon Province from 03:00 to 06:00. A wind measuring 12 meters per second swept Onchon County of Nampho Municipality and Thaethan and Kwail counties of South Hwanghae Province. |
