He, who is also first secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and first chairman of the DPRK National Defence Commission, received a report on the fact that those service personnel of the KPISF whose term of service expired worked hard in the construction of major objects, extending their term till the centenary of the birth of President Kim Il Sung. He was so kind-hearted as to have a photo session with those service personnel wrapping up their service.

Present there were Choe Ryong Hae, Jang Song Thaek, Ri Myong Su, Ri Pyong Sam, Ri Ryong Ha, Pak Chun Hong and generals of the KPISF.

He warmly congratulated them who devoted their precious youth to the prosperity of the country and the happiness of its people.

He expressed expectation and conviction that they would creditably perform their honorable duty by giving full play to the same soldier spirit and stamina as displayed in the days of soldiers at new posts for building a rich and powerful country.
