Japanese Prefectural Governor Opposes Introduction of Transport Planes

| Pyongyang, July 17 (KCNA) -- The governor of Yamaguchi Prefecture, Japan recently met with the defense minister to clarify his opposition to the introduction of U.S. transport aircraft to the prefecture. As regards the U.S. planned introduction of "MV-22 Osprey" transporters to the base in Iwaguni, he told the minister he will not let them in until their security is confirmed. The Iwaguni mayor also voiced opposition to the introduction of the planes, saying "it will be impossible to take back aircraft once discharged from the ship." |
