An awarding ceremony took place at the People's Palace of Culture Thursday.

Title of academician was awarded to Kim Won Thaek, an examinant of Pyongyang College of Medicine of Kim Il Sung University, and Ko Kyong Dal, researcher of Kim Chaek University of Technology.

Title of candidate academician went to Ri Kun Bae and Choe Kum Chun, teachers of Kim Il Sung University.

Professorship was awarded to Hyon Yong Ra, researcher of the Nonferrous Metal Institute under the State Academy of Sciences, Ri Chu Gil, section chief of Kim Po Hyon University, and others while degree of doctor to head of department Rim Tok Gil and deputy head of department Ju Kwon U of Kim Il Sung University and others.

Associate professorship was conferred upon 129 persons.
