Heavy Rain Lashes West Coastal Area of Korea

| Pyongyang, July 19 (KCNA) -- Heavy rain hit North and South Hwanghae provinces, the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, affected by clouds hovering ahead of the arrival of typhoon 7. From 00:00 Wednesday to 09:00 Thursday, 229 mm rainfall was witnessed in Kangryong County, 226 mm in Pyoksong County, 192 mm in Jaeryong County, 181 mm in Ongjin County, 170 mm in Sinchon County, 167 mm in Sinwon County and 166 mm in Haeju City, South Hwanghae Province and 200 mm in Unpha County and 158 mm in Hwangju County, North Hwanghae Province. Meanwhile, it rained 84 mm, 82 mm and 64 mm respectively in Jaeryong, Kangryong and Sinwon counties from 00:00 to 03:00 Thursday, 60 mm in Haeju City from 00:10 to 02:40 and 35 mm in Unpha County and 37 mm in Sariwon City, North Hwanghae Province, from 03:00 to 04:00. |
