The message noted that the awarding of the title of DPRK Marshal to Kim Jong Un is the great honor and happiness for Chongryon officials and compatriots.

It praised him as a peerlessly great man who started his revolutionary activities in the Korean People's Army by inheriting the traditions of Mt. Paektu and developed KPA into a strong and matchless revolutionary army of Mt. Paektu by successfully carrying forward the Songun idea and leadership of Generalissimos Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il.
