The work, published on January 3, 1992, clarifies the fact that a historic lesson drawn from socialist construction is to strengthen a driving force for revolution with faith in socialism and a correct guiding idea, adhere to the principle of socialism and strengthen the comradely unity and cooperation based on independence.

It also clarifies the idea that thoroughly carrying out the three revolutions -- ideological, technical and cultural, while strengthening the people's power and steadily increasing its function and role is the general line of the Workers' Party of Korea for building socialism. The validity of the line is expounded in the work.
