She was born in the countryside of Unryul County before the liberation of the country. It was only after President Kim Il Sung liberated the country that she could lead a genuine and happy life, tilling land given to her.

She worked hard as a farmer with the intention to live up to the benevolence of the country. She did not stop working even though she became retired.

She likes boiled rice and other cereals, bean food and vegetables. She is optimistic and in good health under the socialist health care system.

She also does the cooking and needlework and grows vegetables in the garden.
