Rodong Sinmun Chides Traitor Lee Myung Bak's Confrontation Farce
Pyongyang, July 23 (KCNA) -- Shortly ago, traitor Lee Myung Bak of south Korea put a few penny of money into the "unification jar" and talked nonsense that "judging from every circumstances, one can know that unification is in sight" and "unification is, indeed, near at hand".

Rodong Sinmun in a bylined commentary on Monday brands the remarks made by Lee, who is steeped in wild ambition of "unification of social systems", as deceptive ones intended to escape from his worst ruling crisis by escalating confrontation with fellow countrymen.

It is needless to say that Lee had the "unification by absorption" and "unification of social systems" in his mind when he said "unification is near at hand", says the commentary, and goes on:

Lee and his clan have pursued the anachronistic policy of confrontation with compatriots from the outset of their seizure of power and have gone reckless in the unprecedented confrontation racket while openly trumpeting that the "supreme dream and goal" are to realize the "unification under the free democratic system". All these facts are well known to the world.

They made no scruple of daring hurt the dignity of the supreme leadership of the DPRK and trying to commit even hideous terrorist act. Clear is that if the Lee group had not been seated on the chair of power, the reconciliation, cooperation and unification between the north and the south would have been brought earlier.

The reunification of Korea is being put off, not because of lack of money but due to the anti-reunification group of traitors like Lee.

Lee's fate is now at stake as he is forsaken by not only south Koreans but his clan including the "Saenuri Party" due to a series of scandals involving his relatives and confidants. This clearly shows that collapse of the Lee Myung Bak regime is near at hand.
