In July 1976 President Kim Il Sung specified tasks and ways for producing the goods for daily use and helped work out the list of 206 kinds.

On Nov. 24 last year leader Kim Jong Il instructed officials to hold sundry goods exhibition in every July and set forth the tasks to bring about a decisive turn in their production and contribute to improving the people's livelihood, true to the noble intention of the President.

Displayed at the exhibition are 78,000 goods of over 300 kinds produced by sundry goods production plants in light industrial field and in factories and enterprises under ministries and national institutions.

In the period of the exhibition, a lecture is due to be given to deal with scientific and technological issues arising in the production of the daily necessities and visits are to be made to modern daily-necessities factories.
