Pyongyang July 23 (KCNA) -- The visiting delegation of Korean youth and students in Japan led by Kim Yong Ju, department director of the Central Standing Committee of the Korean Youth League in Japan, met with former unconverted long-term prisoner Choe Thae Guk, an indomitable pro-reunification patriot. Choe said that he fought for decades against the enemies' horrible tortures and appeasement which baffled human imagination. He could remain true to the revolutionary faith as he enshrined the boundless trust in the party and the leader and the firm confidence in the victory, he said. He emphasized that after coming into the embrace of leader Kim Jong Il who took deep care of the destinies of revolutionary soldiers in a responsible manner, he could lead a worthwhile life as a hero of the DPRK and a winner of the National Reunification Prize. He voiced his expectation that the members of the delegation would give a steady continuity to the principle of patriotism and to the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon) true to the leadership of the dear respected Kim Jong Un. Jo Hwi Se and Jo Yong Gi, members of the delegation, said that they were greatly encouraged by the spirit of those pro-reunification patriotic fighters who remained loyal to the revolutionary principle to the last. They evinced their pledge to prepare themselves to be reliable pillars contributing to building a thriving socialist nation and developing Chongryon. An art performance was given by former unconverted long-term prisoners and their families and the members of the delegation. |
