Greetings to Kim Jong Un from Lao President

Pyongyang, July 24 (KCNA) -- Kim Jong Un, first secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea, first chairman of the DPRK National Defence Commission and supreme commander of the Korean People's Army, received a message of greeting from Choummaly Sayasone, general secretary of the Central Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, president of the People's Democratic Republic of Laos and Chairman of the Central Committee of Defence and Security of the People's Democratic Republic of Laos, on July 20.

The message said as follows:

I extend warm congratulation from the bottom of my heart to you on your holding of the title of Marshal of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.

The title is an expression of implicit trust in you of the party, government and people of the DPRK.

I believe that the DPRK government and people will gain a fresh and greater success in the accomplishment of the cause for building a thriving socialist nation under the outstanding and wise leadership of the WPK headed by you.

I hope that the traditional relations of friendship and cooperation between Laos and the DPRK will further develop in favor of the two people's interests.

I wish you good health and happiness as well as success in accomplishing the noble cause.
