In the statement he said that Kim Il Sung was the great father of the people who devoted all his life to their happiness.

The President, who regarded it as his maxim to believe in the people as in Heaven, protected their interests and put them forward as the masters of the country while sharing destiny with them, he said, and went on:

The President wisely led the socialist cause of the DPRK and turned it into a socialist power with independent politics, self-supporting economy and self-reliant national defence capabilities. The Korean people highly praise him as the "great father of the people" and the "eternal President of the DPRK".

Now the Korean people are stepping up the building of a thriving socialist nation, closely united around the dear respected Kim Jong Un who is successfully carrying forward the cause of the President and leader Kim Jong Il.

Kim Jong Un in his famous work to mark the centenary of the birth of the President "The Great Comrade Kim Il Sung Is the Eternal Leader of Our Party and People" stressed the need to successfully accomplish his revolutionary cause.

We will widely introduce the undying feats of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il and extend full support to the efforts of the Korean people advancing under the wise leadership of Kim Jong Un.
