Present there were members of the Switzerland-Korea Committee and the Swiss Group for the Study of the Juche Idea and other people and staff members of the DPRK embassy in Bern.

Martin Lotscher, chairman of the committee, in a speech said that it is a great historic event in the cause of Songun revolution of Korea that Kim Jong Un was awarded the title of DPRK Marshal.

The chairman went on:

Kim Jong Un has deeply grasped the Juche-oriented military ideas, strategy and tactics of President Kim Il Sung and general secretary Kim Jong Il and strengthened the Korean People's Army into invincible revolutionary armed forces. He is indeed an ever-victorious and iron-willed brilliant commander and a prominent strategist.

Socialist Korea would surely triumph in the standoff with the imperialists and all other hostile forces under his leadership.

A congratulatory message to him was adopted at the meeting.
