Over 400 mm of Rainfalls Observed in DPRK in 24 Hours

Pyongyang, July 30 (KCNA) -- Downpour hit some areas of Pyongyang and Nampho cities and North and South Phyongan, North and South Hwanghae and Jagang provinces in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea from 06:00 Sunday to 06:00 Monday.

It rained 442 mm in Pakchon County, 414 mm in Unjon County and 383 mm in Hyangsan County, 256 mm in Jongju City and 252 mm in Kujang County, North Phyongan Province, 404 mm in Anju City, 374 mm in Kaechon City, 361 mm in Tokchon City, 258 mm in Nyongwon County and 209 mm in Maengsan County, South Phyongan Province and 145 mm in Pyongyang City.

Also torrential rains at intervals of 1-3 hours were witnessed in about 50 areas of the country, including Pakchon and Unjon counties and Jongju City of North Phyongan Province and Kangnam County of Pyongyang.
