Yun Hi Chol, an 80-year-old war veteran, told KCNA:

"I had never thought of this kind of honor and happiness in my 80s.

We, war veterans, came to Pyongyang by air and special train and are treated as state guests in Pyongyang.

In their lifetime the great Generalissimos Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il arranged a national meeting of war veterans and had always taken warm care of us.

Today respected Marshal Kim Jong Un invited us, war veterans, again to Pyongyang as delegates to the celebrations.

I am offering heartfelt thanks to him in the name of all war veterans."

Jong Ki Yong, another war veteran, said:

"I have the same view with others.

Marshal Kim Jong Un showed the same loving care as Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il did for the Children's Union members some time ago and for the war veterans today. He is, indeed, the benevolent father of all the people.

I will remain faithful to him in the spirit of a soldier.

Very bright is the future of the DPRK Led by Kim Jong Un, who values the revolutionary forerunners and creditably carries forward the history and tradition of great victory."
