Pyongyang, August 1 (KCNA) -- War veteran delegates left here Wednesday to return home after attending the celebrations of the 59th anniversary of the victory in the Fatherland Liberation War. All of them felt gratitude to the dear respected Kim Jong Un, who initiated the celebrations and took deep care of them during their stay in Pyongyang. Ju Jae Hyon, 79, a war veteran, told KCNA: "The days in Pyongyang will remain long in my memory. We, delegates, had the honor of having a photo session with Marshal Kim Jong Un. He gave all blessings to us, saying that the war veterans are priceless treasures. Born in south Korea, I joined the Korean People's Army at the age of 17 to fight against the invaders in the war. And I had been active as an educator for many years, leading a worthwhile life under the loving care of Generalissimos Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il." Kim Hi Chon, 81, a war veteran, said: "During the celebrations, we enjoyed a fireworks display and performance of Moranbong Band and toured the Rungna People's Pleasure Ground. Back home, I'll tell my family and villagers about the happy days I spent in Pyongyang so that they could know well the loving care shown by Marshal Kim Jong Un for us war veterans." Another war veteran Ri Kon Song, 82, said the war veterans' life has become more worthwhile as Marshal Kim Jong Un takes care of them in a responsible manner. |
