On August 2, 1974 Kim Jong Il published work "Let Us Accelerate Modeling the Whole Society on Kimilsungism by Fundamentally Improving Party Work".

He in this work comprehensively clarifies the fundamental principles and ways for party construction and activities for developing the Workers' Party of Korea into the eternal party of President Kim Il Sung.

His policy for modeling the whole party on Kimilsungism brought about a new milestone in the WPK's history and a radical change in the party building and activities, the paper notes, and goes on:

The validity and vitality of the policy were more strikingly demonstrated in the difficult period of the last decade.

Weathering the stern tempest of history, the WPK has remained boundlessly loyal to the leader's idea and cause. It demonstrated before the world that it is a party full of revolutionary mettle and strong in the sense of organization and discipline and that it is an invincible force guiding the people to victory and prosperity, being responsible for the destiny of the country and the nation to the last, despite whatever difficulties and trials.

Under the banner of modeling the whole party on Kimilsungism the WPK has grown to be revolutionary party firmly based on the ideological system and leadership system of the leader and an organizer and guide of all the victories of the Korean people.

The WPK will always shine as the great party of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il thanks to the leader's theory and wealth of experience in party building enriched by Kim Jong Il and the guidance of the Central Committee of the Party which has creditably carried them forward.
