The President clarified the importance of the public health service in the concluding speech made at the 37th session of the People's Committee of north Korea on May 21, 1947 and indicated practical tasks and ways.

Drawing the attention of the participants were papers presented by Choe Yong Il, doctor at Pyongyang Medical College of Kim Il Sung University, Kim Kwang Bok, researcher at Kim Man Yu Hospital, Kwon Yong Gun and Jong Kwang Il, doctors at the hospital, and Choe Sun Bom, doctor at the Central Hygienic and Anti-Epidemic Center under the Ministry of Public Health.

Also appreciated were papers on successes made in the researches into increasing the effect in the treatment by putting hygienic information service and treatment of high blood pressure and other troubles on a scientific basis to suit their specific conditions.

Among those papers were the ones helpful to solving scientific and technological issues arising on diagnosis for first aid treatment and the system for a differential diagnosis and the preventive treatment of a stroke and virus-related diseases.
