The bulletin carried several articles with a portrait of smiling Kim Jong Il.

In the article titled "Songun leadership" it said it was an event of great significance that Kim Jong Il started his Songun leadership by visiting Seoul Ryu Kyong Su 105th Guards Tank Division of the Korean People's Army on August 25, 1960.

Socialist Korea has always advanced along the road of victory under the Songun leadership of Kim Jong Il, it added.

The article titled "Idea of by Korean nation itself and Kim Jong Il" dealt with the feats Kim Jong Il performed for national reunification by making sure that the idea of "by the Korean nation itself" serves as a foundation and core for the development of inter-Korean relations, regarding it as an invariable principle to solve all issues by the concerted efforts of all people from an independent stand.

The bulletin in the articles captioned "Kim Jong Un, focus of world attention" and "Conferment of Title of DPRK Marshal upon leader Kim Jong Un" praised his greatness and underscored the historic significance of the awarding of the title.
