Pyongyang, August 3 (KCNA) -- The Musan Foodstuff Factory in North Hamgyong Province in the northern part of Korea makes a contribution to the dietary life of workers and their families at the Musan Mining Complex, a leading mineral producer of the country. In this regard, Jo Kil Sun, manager of the factory, told KCNA: "A brisk drive is going on in the county to bring a fresh turn in the improvement of the residents' livelihood this year marking the 50th anniversary of the joint meeting of local party and economic officials in Changsong County. Our factory with modern production processes turn out 70 odd kinds of foodstuffs, including cake, bread, soda pop, bear, vinegar, corn syrup, distilled spirits, bean milk and noodle. The factory provides those foodstuffs to the miners and county households through service networks on a normal basis. The quality of our products is not so high at present, but the factory keeps production going on a high level. We are also striving to raise the quality of products through technological updating and scientific research." According to the manager, foodstuff and essential foodstuff factories in Hoeryong City neighboring the county have also made a big progress in modernization drive. Meanwhile signal achievements are being made at industrial establishments in Myongchon County, which built 200 hectares of raw material base, and other counties and cities of the province. |
