Pyongyang, August 4 (KCNA) -- Groups of campers from different countries are now spending pleasant days at the Songdowon International Children's Camp in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea. Heads of those groups told KCNA about their impressions in this regard. Hu Shui, a deputy section chief of the Nanjing Children's Palace of China, said on behalf of the Chinese juvenile camping group: "The scenery of the camp is fantastic and temperature here is nice. I was told that President Kim Il Sung personally chose this place for the camp. I would love to express thanks to him for it. The current camping offers us an occasion to contact other campers from various countries and deepen friendship with them. It will also provide those campers with an opportunity to get knowledge of culture and history of different nations and realize how valuable peace is. I hope that the DPRK would further prosper under the guidance of the dear respected Kim Jong Un and that the friendship between China and the DPRK would grow healthier like the pine trees in Songdowon Park." Nguyen Canh Chung, head of the Vietnamese campers' group, said: "I am thankful for all kindness accorded to us. We like sea bathing very much. The current camping will help promote friendship and solidarity among campers. Camping is conducive to developing self-support among children. I am convinced that this camping will bear desirable fruits since it is under the deep care of respected Marshal Kim Jong Un." The head of the Russian campers' group, Kulkova Svetlana Apanasiyevna, said: "This is the 13th time for us to attend the camping here. Calling children kings of the country, President Kim Il Sung saw to it that the children's camp was built here. Whenever visiting the DPRK, I would keenly feel that the government shows deep care for the children. The campers from various countries will get acquainted with each other and familiar to each other's customs. We feel very pleased to be here." |
