President Kim Il Sung is a great sage of mankind as he devoted his all to global independence and peace and people's freedom and happiness, regarding it as his maxim to believe in people as in Heaven.

The International Kim Il Sung Foundation has rendered material and moral support and made efforts for realizing the noble intention of the peerlessly great man for the past 5 years since its inauguration was proclaimed in October 2007, prompted by its noble mission and purpose to secure fund necessary for awarding the International Kim Il Sung Prize, studying and disseminating the Juche idea worldwide as well as developing education, public health, culture and science and technology, protecting environment and promoting peace and progress of mankind and global independence, true to the last instructions of the President.

The Foundation, together with the whole progressive mankind, will always remember leader Kim Jong Il who dedicated all his life to the building of an independent and peaceful new world and the prosperous DPRK and to the happy future of the people, true to the intention of the President.

The Foundation held the meeting of its council on August 1, 2012 and decided as follows to glorify the cause of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il and realize their life-time wishes:

1. The International Kim Il Sung Foundation will be expanded and reorganized as Kim Il Sung-Kim Jong Il Foundation.

2. It will organize the council of the Foundation and elect members of the council including its co-chairman.

3. The council will modify and supplement its statute, detailed rules and regulations to suit the expanded and reorganized Foundation.

4. The Kim Il Sung-Kim Jong Il Foundation will be headquartered in Pyongyang, the capital of the DPRK.

5. The Kim Il Sung-Kim Jong Il Foundation decides to accept the contributions from all those who hope for widespread and sustainable development of the work of the Foundation to fulfil its noble mission.
