Pak Ui Chun Greets Cambodian FM

Pyongyang, August 8 (KCNA) -- Pak Ui Chun, foreign minister of the DPRK, sent a message of greeting to Hor Nam Hong, deputy prime minister and minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Cambodia, on August 7 on the occasion of the 45th anniversary of the Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN).

The message said:

ASEAN has developed into a powerful regional organization steering regional peace, prosperity, cooperation and security, while maintaining the principles of respect for sovereignty, equality and reciprocity and non-interference in others' internal affairs for the last 45 years since its foundation.

The message evaluated the position and the role of ASEAN rising day by day in the regional and international area and reaffirmed the stand of the DPRK to positively cooperate with ASEAN to build independent, peaceful and prosperous Asia.

The message wished him greater success in his responsible work, expressing belief that the friendly and cooperative relationship between the DPRK and ASEAN and its member nations would steadily grow stronger.
