Kim Yong Nam was accompanied by Ri Ryong Nam, minister of Foreign Trade, Kang Min Chol, minister of Mining Industry, Kung Sok Ung, vice-minister of Foreign Affairs, Han Pong Ho, DPRK ambassador to Laos, and other suite members and Minister and Secretary General of the Presidency Phongsavath Boupha and Lao Ambassador to the DPRK Kiettisak Keobanhdith and officials concerned.

Kim Yong Nam and his party looked round the tower, a symbol of time-honored historic culture of the Lao people.
