Pyongyang, August 10 (KCNA) -- The U.S. has long prodded the "National Foundation for Democracy" going under the veil of NGO into vicious allurement and abduction operations against citizens of the DPRK in areas close to its northern border. The foundation, organized by CIA and financed by the federal government of the U.S., earned an ill-fame for bribing, luring and abducting inhabitants of former East European socialist states at the end of the 1980s to let them join dissident forces for bringing down those countries. The foundation has carried on these operations, financing "The Citizens Alliance for Human Rights in the North", "Network for Democracy in the North", "Turi Hana" and other anti-DPRK conspiratorial organizations in south Korea. The U.S. provides at least 20 million U.S. dollars to those organizations every year. The puppet regime does not conceal its premeditated and organized allurement and abduction operations, terming the acts of luring residents in areas near the northern border of the DPRK and taking them away to south Korea as "planned operations for making them defect to south Korea." The Lee Myung Bak regime has so far spent 309.7 million U.S. dollars for the above-said operations. Taking the lead in these operations are such anti-DPRK conspiratorial organizations as "The General Association of Christians of south Korea", "Turi Hana", "Kallilson Church", "Good Friends" and "Solidarity for Justice in the North," all going under the mask of religion. More than 3,000 south Korean agents are active under the mask of missionaries in the Northeastern area of China including Yanji, Dandong, Shenyang and Tumen whose mission is to lure and abduct citizens of the DPRK. Chon Ki Won disguised as a clergyman of the Missionary Society of "Turi Hana", confessed that he lured and abducted more than 900 citizens of the DPRK and took them away to south Korea from 1990 to 2009. Wicked renegade Kim Yong Hwan, boss of an anti-DPRK conspiratorial organization, and other guys were arrested by the Chinese security authorities in March this year while conducting those operations. Those guys trained DPRK residents abducted in the Northeastern area of China before infiltrating them into the DPRK. They attempted to commit terrorism and armed revolt at the instruction of the U.S. and puppet regime while scattering leaflets and gathering information, etc. The south Korean regime assigned dealers, brokers, tourists and even south Korean students studying in China or in a third country tasks to lure and abduct residents of the DPRK. It pays them 3,000-10,000 U.S. dollars when they succeed in fulfilling the tasks. When they find it hard to take DPRK citizens to south Korea, they bring them to a third country. Those who were brought to Thailand numbered more than 2,000 every year. When agents of the U.S. and south Korea lure and abduct them, they employ such method as pressurizing all their families and relatives into "defecting to south Korea" in groups by holding them hostage. The number of those families abducted to south Korea by such method in 2010 accounted for more than 40 percent of the abductees. Allurement and abduction operations are also prevalent under the signboard of "exchange of separated families through a third country." The puppet regime brought "separated families" in south Korea to northern boarder areas to arrange the reunions with their kith and kin after finding them out through a secret channel. In this way the group abducts them. In February this year, the south Korean "Ministry of Unification" revised the "guidelines for increasing the funds for supporting exchange of separated families through a third country" in a bid to drastically increase the funds for the above-said operation. |
