First Freight Train Leaves from Flood-hit Railway Station

Pyongyang, August 10 (KCNA) -- Kaechon-Joyang railway section in South Phyongan Province of the DPRK has been rehabilitated from flood damage in a short span of time, fully displaying the great army-people unity. Servicepersons and people turned out as one in hearty response to an order issued by the Korean People's Army Supreme Commander Marshal Kim Jong Un and successfully rehabilitated Joyang Coal Mine Station and roadbeds and bridges in scores places in Kaechon-Joyang railway section in a matter of just over 50 hours after the rehabilitation drive started. The first freight train loaded with coal left Joyang Coal Mine Station on Friday amid the warm send-off by thousands of service personnel and people. The train departed from the railway terminal, sounding its whistle indicative of the single mind of the army and people. |
