The chairman of the Society made speech under the title "President Kim Il Sung was the great leader who performed undying feats in the cause of reunification of Korea."

General secretary Kim Jong Il in his work clarified the President's feats on national reunification, the chairman said, stressing that Korea will surely be reunified in the near future in the spirit of national independence and great national unity set forth by the President.

The vice-chairman of the Society in a speech entitled "The three charters for national reunification serve as firm guidelines for Korea's reunification" said:

Kim Jong Il formulated the three principles of national reunification-- independence, peaceful reunification and the great national unity--, the 10-point programme of the great unity of the whole nation and the proposal for founding the Democratic Federal Republic of Koryo put forth by the President as the three charters for national reunification.

The three charters serve as steadfast guidelines for Korea's reunification.

It is thanks to the charters that June 15 North-South Joint Declaration was provided in 2000, ushering in a new era toward independent reunification by the concerted efforts of all Koreans.

A reunified thriving nation will surely be built on the Korean Peninsula as there are the three charters.
