The contestants were divided into two groups -- school youth group and juvenile group. Its participants competed in more than 30 events including football, basketball, volleyball, table-tennis, track-and-field, weight-lifting and gymnastics.

The results of school youth groups are as follows: Boys of the sports school of Phohang District in Chongjin and girls of the sports school of Moranbong District in Pyongyang came first in handball event while players of the sports school of Central District of Pyongyang took the title in gymnastics event. Boys of the sports school of the Swimming Gymnasium in Chongchun Street and girls of Pyongyang marine sports school came first in the swimming events.

The results of juvenile groups are as follows: Boys and girls of Pyongyang placed first in football. Boys of the sports school of Phohang District in Chongjin and girls of the sports school of Moranbong District in Pyongyang came first in handball. Boys from Pyongyang and girls from North Phyongan Province came first in the track-and-field events.

A closing ceremony of the contest was held in Nampho on Monday.
