Read out at the ceremony was a message of thanks from the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea to the workers, technicians and officials of the tilery who performed labor feats in the project.

The message highly praised them for making contributions to putting building materials industry on a Juche-oriented, modern and scientific basis true to the behests of general secretary Kim Jong Il.

The inaugural address was followed by speeches.

Speakers said they would spruce up their work sites and operate equipment at full capacity to increase the production of tiles to be sent to socialist construction sites, taking Kim Jong Il's patriotism as their motto.

After the ceremony, the participants looked round the tilery.
