On this day we pay tribute to the braveness of the Soviet Army soldiers who supported the liberation of the Korean people from the colonial rule and express thanks to the DPRK for deeply cherishing their memory.

We are attaching weighty significance to expanding bilateral cooperation including the promotion of long-term large-scale plans in transport, gas and electricity sectors. The implementation of these plans is of great socio-economic significance in the whole region.

I express belief that the relations between Russia and the DPRK will affirmatively develop in the interests of the two peoples and for the stability and security of the Korean Peninsula.
