S. Korean Organizations Call for Advancing toward Peace and Reunification
Pyongyang, August 17 (KCNA) -- Women, religionists and citizens' organizations of south Korea held a gathering for peace and reunification in Seoul on August 11 to mark the anniversary of Korea's liberation, August 15.

The speakers said that the inter-Korean relations have plunged to complete deadlock under the "government" of Lee Myung Bak.

They called for dynamically advancing toward peace and reunification in order to tide over the present difficulties.

Then, a resolution was read out. It described the five years of the Lee "government" as the bitter days for the people in which the June 15 joint declaration has been severely violated.

It called for ending the present regime by concerted efforts of all the progressive forces and carrying on a dynamic drive for the implementation of the south-north joint declarations.
