They arrived at Chol Pass on Aug. 14.

They laid bouquets before the monument to revolutionary activities of the peerlessly great men at the Pass and held a briefing on personality of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il as great men.

Running along the gigantic footprints of the great Songun brilliant commanders in the east coastal areas, they arrived at the Kamnamu (persimmon tree) Company on Aug. 15.

They enjoyed an art performance given by the company soldiers.

Then they passed Wonsan and Hamhung cities.

They laid floral baskets and bouquets before the statues of President Kim Il Sung and the portraits of smiling Generalissimos Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il in the provincial seats before paying tribute to them.

Under their arrival at the Ssangunri Revolutionary Site on Aug. 18 they held a meeting to explain the personality of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il as great men.

The participants renewed their resolution to become standard-bearers in embodying Kim Jong Il's patriotism, glorifying the brilliant revolutionary life of the peerlessly great persons of Mt. Paektu who devoted their all to the country and its people for the development of the revolutionary armed forces and the prosperity of the nation since their start of Songun revolutionary leadership.

The KPA servicepersons participating in the torchlight relay race from the east coast area are running toward Pyongyang amid warm welcome by service personnel, people from all walks of life and school youth and children everywhere they arrive.
