The celebrations will be a grand festival which will strikingly demonstrate the proud history and tradition of attaching importance to the youth shining generation after generation under the leadership of the Workers' Party of Korea.

The festival will also demonstrate the high spirit of the young Korean people advancing toward the final victory of the cause of Juche, always remaining faithful to Kim Jong Un.

The idea of attaching importance to youth runs through the whole course of the Korean revolution. This is the noble idea of the peerlessly great men of Mt. Paektu who successfully brought up the youth with their warm loving care and profound trust all their life.

Considering youth as vanguard of the revolution in his early years, President Kim Il Sung began his revolutionary activities with a youth movement, set forth the unique idea of attaching importance to youth and put forward them, overcoming grim difficulties.

His clairvoyant wisdom and undying feats will shed their brilliant rays with the passage of the time.

Leader Kim Jong Il handed the torchlight of the revolution to youth and brought them up as vanguard of the Songun revolution and shock brigades for building a thriving nation. He was the distinguished leader of the Korean youth movement, tender-hearted teacher of the young vanguard and sun for their life.

The young Korean people have glorified their worthy life as performers of feats and heroes of the times generation after generation and century after century thanks to the warm loving care and trust of Kim Jong Il who put up the slogan "Love Youth!" and instituted the Youth Day.

Convinced that the future of a thriving nation will be brought earlier thanks to the young people's dynamic advance, Kim Jong Un initiated the splendid celebrations of the Youth Day this significant year and took such a measure as inviting representatives of youth from across the country to Pyongyang.

The celebrations will take place from August 25 to 30.

Preparations for holding the celebrations as a significant grand event of the country are making brisk headway amid expectation and concern of the party, state, whole army and people.
