According to an initial survey, the flood left more than 90 dwelling houses and public buildings destroyed or submerged in Pyongyang and Nampho cities and South Phyongan Province and nearly 440 people homeless.

Meanwhile, over 560 hectares of farmland were inundated and nearly 100 hectares were washed away or buried in west coastal areas and South Hamgyong Province.
