The bulletin carried a photo of President Kim Il Sung dating back to the period of the anti-Japanese armed struggle.

It said:

Kim Il Sung was born as the nation's sun in the darkest period when Korea was under the Japanese imperialist colonial rule.

He formed the Down-with-Imperialism Union in his early years and set forth the programme for defeating Japanese imperialism with arms. He founded the Anti-Japanese People's Guerrilla Army on April 25, 1932 and liberated Korea through bloody battles fought against the Japanese imperialists.

The great revolutionary exploits he performed by crushing the brigandish Japanese imperialists, achieving the country's independence and setting an example in the armed struggle against imperialism will always go down in history.

Leader Kim Jong Il successfully carried forward the cause of socialism and independence against imperialism pioneered by Kim Il Sung, frustrating the imperialist allied forces' moves to stifle the DPRK and protecting the destiny of Korea of Juche with his ever-victorious Songun politics.
